Akopi Builders is led by its owner. Hovik Akopyan started the company in 2014 and still runs the work himself — the same person who reads the drawings is the person you call when you have a question. We build custom homes and significant remodels across Los Angeles, with a long record on the westside and the steep hillside lots where the city climbs.
The way we work comes down to one idea: calm is a construction skill. A house gets built well when the schedule is honest, the money is clear, and decisions are surfaced early instead of discovered late. That is the standard we hold ourselves to on every job.
How we operate

- You reach the builder, not a queue. Questions answered by the person accountable for the job.
- Written weekly updates
- Where the schedule and the money stand, in writing, every week — photos before close-up.
- Drawings read before pricing
- The full set is reviewed in preconstruction. Conflicts are flagged early, not framed into the house.
- Honest schedules
- Dates we can hold. Long-lead items identified early so finish work never waits on rough.
